Child Labor Facing the Development of Sustainable Goals in the City of Barranquilla, Cevillar location

Abstract

Child labor (IT) continues to be one of the great problems worldwide and is affecting children who are in poverty, due to its great negative impact on the training and development of each child immersed in this type of work as it is that of street vendors; This is why in recent years the interest in its study has increased by international organizations and several cities. The main objective of this research is to analyze the causes and factors that continue to perpetuate this phenomenon, raising public awareness of its harmful effects. Based on the review of the different studies carried out in Colombia specifically in the city of Barranquilla, and from a qualitative approach, it seeks to describe what have been the factors that have most influenced the occurrence of child labor in Colombia specifically in the metropolitan area , the approaches to it and the conclusions regarding the problem. Concluding that child labor must be switched off within certain limitations to maintain a balance between child development and work development so as not to reach the point of labor exploitation and / or forced labor, we can clarify that work dignifies the person
