Gestión de la política de atención al adulto mayor en el Distrito de Barranquilla y su articulación con la política nacional de envejecimiento humano y vejez 2014- 2024

Abstract

The study made it possible to review the Management of the care policy for the elderly in the district of Barranquilla and its articulation with the national policy on human aging and old age 2014-2024. For the study, the programs and projects aimed at the elderly were investigated, the follow-up report to the development plan and the accountability report 2016-2019, in the same way, the facilitating and non-facilitating factors were identified in the implementation of the programs aimed at the elderly. From the methodological point of view, the qualitative, descriptive research was guided by the documentary review technique to approach the study. The articulation was worked through a weighting matrix which allowed to interpret the degree of articulation between what was proposed in the national policy and the actions carried out within the framework of programs and projects developed in the district of Barranquilla. The interpretation of the results indicated that the management of the policy is moderately articulated, the foregoing is manifested in light implementation and correspondence, highlighting some advances. It is concluded that the Management of the policy of care for the elderly in the district of Barranquilla and its articulation with the national policy of human aging and old age 2014-2024, is moderately articulated and that the district of Barranquilla carries out actions, programs and projects that are framed in the national policy but it does not have a human aging and old age policy.
