Generation E is a program promoted by the Ministry of National Education that seeks, through the equity component, to advance in the gratuitousness of education so that vulnerable young people have access to inclusive higher quality education in excellent quality. The 32 departments of the country, thus granting 100% of the total enrollment, in addition to this through the component of granting the support subsidy as support for the additional expenses of each student during the educational semester, are currently 61 Higher Education Institutions linked on a voluntary basis.
The Institute of Professional Technical Training "ITFIP" is one of the institutions linked to this program, which is why it undertook the task of determining the impact that the Generation E program has generated on young beneficiaries of economic strata 1 and 2 from the ITFIP of El Espinal, Tolima in 2019, in order to identify the level of transformation and socioeconomic progress and comprehensive development in young people, since there is no previous study of the level of satisfaction by the beneficiaries, that is why the inquiry to the young beneficiaries begins to know the changes and benefits that this program has had is the life of each one, it is necessary to make a bibliographic review on the subject of great importance both in the economic and in the social part.
It is expected that the impact of the generation E program will be positive for each young person and that the program will have helped to improve the level of economic and social development of each beneficiary, and thus be able to give a criterion with certainty of the positive and the aspects that improved the comprehensive development of young people and whether this program promotes vocational training.
