Working hours in the public sector

Abstract

The purpose of the present article of reflection is to outline a conceptualisation and a brief approach to the history of the treatment of the working day of employees of the public sector in Colombia, for which, on several occasions, a comparison will be made with the regulation of Employees. In that sense, it will be established that the civil servants are given a special regime in terms of working hours, mainly contained in Decree 1042 of 1948, in addition to other specific regulations that can regulate these aspects.
