Abstract

This article derives from the formative research process of the law program and aims to study the western legal system and its influence on Colombian law, showing a historical overview of the important transformations of law that have impacted our system and that we still preserve The influence of the legal tradition in Colombia, specifically in the field of law impacted from its inception being the main influence on the Colombian culturalization and the decision making process regarding the development of their society, making us supporters of the so-called legal tradition.

Contextualizing is understood by the West as a whole culture characterized by having the following interests: They base their philosophy on the heritage of Greek antiquity, their jurisprudence was based on the law of the Roman Empire, their theology was based on the Judeo-Christian tradition, their artistic conception was he settled in the European Renaissance and his sociological thinking in the French illustration.
