In the present essay the moral clash of individuals with nineteenth-century traditions in England is analyzed, taking as model Edward Hyde, character of the work "The strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", written by Robert Louis Stevenson in the year 1886. It is tried to demonstrate that to reach the freedom it is necessary to transgress the traditions and the laws, putting in fabric of judgment the value of the Good for the man that wants to forge a Being without limits in the normativity the world.
