Mission

Portal de las Palabras is a virtual magazine that disseminates the academic production and / or artistic and literary creation of the members of the Rafael Núñez University Corporation, as a contribution to the socio-cultural transformation of the region.

The Virtual Portal of Words for 2022 will be recognized, in the national and international context, as a means of advanced academic dissemination; characterized by its content, its editorial responsibility and its contribution to the university environment.

APARTES

The magazine is aimed at: students, teachers, administrators and graduates; researchers and professionals from all areas, interested in publicizing their written production. The articles published in the journal respond to the typologies of: editorial, critical review, critical commentary, argumentative essay, instructive text; and artistic and literary production, among others.
The Magazine begins with volume 1 number 1 in 2015 and has an annual periodicity. It is available at: http://revistas.curn.edu.co


Access policy

The Portal de la Palabra virtual magazine has free and immediate access to its content, under the criterion of free availability to the public, which promotes a greater exchange of global knowledge.

The electronic publication system of the journal complies with the international norms and protocols of a digital magazine that allows it to be visible worldwide.

Declaration of ethics and good editorial practices

The Portal de la Palabra virtual magazine being a journal of academic dissemination and, in itself non-scientific, takes as reference for its editorial practice the Code of Conduct and Good Practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Therefore, the journal accepts the guidelines of this code to guarantee the quality of the articles published, as well as the timely and efficient management among readers, authors and reviewers.
Stages of the publication process

The publication process is developed in the following stages:

The editor sends the author (s) an email notifying the received manuscript for the study of its publication.
The editorial committee checks that the manuscript meets the required publication criteria. Otherwise, you will be notified (via email) to the author about the observations.
If the article complies with the publication norms, it is sent (with the instructions and review format) to the reviewers.

The editor reviews the reviewers' evaluations and recommendations, and decides whether the article is "recommended manuscript to publish", "manuscript to publish with suggested changes", "manuscript to publish, with recommended changes and modifications in the structure" or " Manuscript rejected. " In any case, the author is informed of the decision and the comments of the reviewers. The journal reserves the identity of the evaluators.
If the article is "manuscript to publish, with the recommended changes and modifications in the structure", the author will have the option of presenting a second version according to the comments and suggestions. Once the article has been received in its new version, the process will be started again from the beginning, that is, as a new article sent for publication.
If the article is "manuscript to publish with suggested changes", the author is asked to prepare a second version according to the comments and suggestions. Once the article is received in its new version, it is evaluated together with the initial observations of the reviewers, by the editor and members of the Editorial Board, who together give final approval for publication.
 The Virtual Portal of the Words will notify the author about the publication of his article by sending him the link to the publication.
