Dynamic capabilities: an analysis in Colombia's dairy sector
Keywords:
Dynamic capabilities, knowledge management, product innovation, process innovation, marketing innovationAbstract
Dynamic capabilities are a viable alternative to counteract the negative effects caused in times of crisis. The objective of the work consisted of analyzing the dynamic capacities existing in the dairy industry of the Colombian Caribbean region from the dynamic capacities approach. Analytical research assumed the qualitative paradigm; interviews, observation, documentation, were carried out, and a questionnaire was applied to identify capacities. The results indicate that the main dynamic capacities found in the dairy sector are knowledge management, recognized as a facilitator in the creation of dynamic capacities. The codification and articulation of knowledge, as well as accumulated experience are highlighted in it. In addition, dynamic capabilities for process, product and marketing innovation were identified. The findings indicate that knowledge management and technological innovation contribute to business positioning based on constant monitoring of the environment, which leads to the reconfiguration of assets in order to take advantage of opportunities.
