General systems theory applied to management models

With more than half century of being shaped by the biologist Ludwig von Bertalanffy, the General Systems Theory (GST) has had a great welcome in several fields of studies, including the organization management. The objective of this paper is gather the different practical applying of GST in management models, making a documentary review, analyzing the complementary theories who contributed to the GST and then relate them the management models arising from the theory, concluding that the majority are descriptive nature, leaving much field for the applying of The General Systems Theory in the management models into the organizations.
