Research results transfer to the industry: a look at practices in public and private universities of Latín América

The study identify transfer practices of university research results in Latin America, based on the analysis of eight recognized universities, carrying out a bibliographic and documentary review of the characteristics and conditions for the transfer. It was found that the universities have achieved the transfer based on accumulated capacities in human capital and infrastructure, establishing in integral and relational stages of the transfer. No particular conditions were evidenced regarding its public or private nature, rather importance is given to coordination at the country level to promote research, development and innovation towards companies. It is found that it is necessary to conduct a study of the capacities of the productive sector to take advantage of the science and technology ecosystem of each country.
