Health and safety management at work in public universities Of the district of Riohacha

This article is the product of an investigation that aimed to carry out an analysis of the management of health and safety at work in public higher education institutions of the district of Riohacha in the department of La Guajira - Colombia; The study is descriptive, with a non-experimental, cross-sectional and field design; To collect the data, a questionnaire consisting of fifty-seven (57) Likert-type questions was used. Its population under study was made up of two (2) public universities of the District of Riohacha. Once the work was completed, it was detected regarding the dimension of the organization of the Occupational Health and Safety management that, the institutions under study have an organizational structure defined at all levels, in which there are the corresponding centers. of authority and that, the coordination sometimes helps the different departments to collaborate in the management of safety and health at work. Finally, it was concluded that within these institutions the systems that integrate the processes related to this management are regularly established.
