Abstract

The objective of this article is to show the development of corporate responsibility from its external dimension in the Multi-Active Cooperatives of the city of Barranquilla. The methodological design used is located in the investigation with a quantitative approach of descriptive scope, not experimental in the field, therefore, the survey was used as the information collection technique. The results shows that, in the  external dimension, which includes suppliers, clients,  competitors, the local community, and the global community; The Multi-Active Cooperatives of Barranquilla do not fully comply with the commitments and actions that support the economic and social development of the community. Therefore, although they have some programs, they are not socially responsible, because they lack other factors that are relevant within the field of corporate social responsibility.
