Abstract

The present article shows the relationship between some representative variables of the formal institutions and the total early stage entrepreneurial activity (TEA), as an approximate variable of the entrepreneurship for 99 countries between 2004 and 2015. The methodology used was an unbalanced data panel of random effects. We found that some variables such as the transfer of R&D had negative effects, while others such as government aid had a positive impact on entrepreneurship.
