Over time, information and knowledge have been key factors for the development of society, which is why, through this proposal, the implementation of an observatory that obtains, analyzes, evaluates and disseminates information about of the main lines of research, under the planning of an entity with organizational characteristics, which also meets the due requirements in relation to the nature and structure of an observatory based on a problem of lack of evidence. To achieve this end, the article titled "Components and variables of accounting observatories existing at a higher level in Colombia" has been deepened and continued, identifying the main needs to be met by the observatory, as well as the development of the structural framework of the Observatory, through the application of a methodology
Knowledge management is a tool to consolidate the growth and constant strengthening of a discipline, which is why a proposal has been developed that frames the structural design of an applied observatory for accounting science, aimed at improving related processes with teaching, research and academia in general, a factor that will significantly impact the progress and training of professionals in Colombia.
