Abstract

Mothers like “Carmen” with functional diversity, single in post-caesarean section and with high obstetric risk, in addition, with her newborn admitted to intensive care, full of fear and anxiety about how to take care of him, but happy to have become a mother, she opens the space to assess and apply the disciplinary theory of Virgínea Henderson and integrate it with the NANDA-NOC-NIC Nursing process, which allow us to respond to the identified needs. The use of theories and the nursing process made it possible to educate, intervene and give security to the binomial, integrating the bio-psycho-social aspects.
