Abstract

One aspect that is not taken into account by a large number of teachers at the time of preparing
their support materials, to be shared with their students in different classes both face-to-face
and virtual, is to create such materials under the principles of "Universal Design". For a large
number of people, this term sounds like something new, but in reality, about this paradigm it
has been working for some years. Although in this article, reference is made to teachers, it must
be clarified that the principles of universal design must be taken into account by all people who
generate digital material, whether documents, presentations, videos, web pages, etc. Whereas,
when developing any type of digital material, it must allow easily accessible environments, so
that as many people as possible can consume it. The design must be for everyone, without
having to adapt it or make a particular redesign, for one or another special population. This
article shares the experiences that the "Empodera Package" has experienced, when developing
and delivering its products to the Acacia Pilotos Centers (CADEP), within the framework of
the ACACIA project: "Cooperation Centers for the Promotion, Strengthening and Transfer of
Good Practices They support, cultivate, adapt, communicate, innovate and welcome the
university community ", a project co-funded by the Erasmus + program of the European Union,
identified under the number: 561754-EPP-1-2015-1-CO-EPPKA2- CBHE-JP.
