Abstract

In this research, pedagogical strategies are adapted by means of pictograms, to facilitate the academic training of children with autistic disorder at the primary level of the Guaimaral Technical Institute in the city of Cucuta. Autism assumed by José Ramón Alonso (2004) he says: "Autism is a disability, a generalized disorder of brain development that produces an abnormal behavior in which the affected children are indifferent, absent, with difficulty forming emotional bonds with other people". Research stimulates self-esteem by making the student feel an active subject on an equal footing. The sample was five students with autism. The strategies were work with the aim of seeking appropriate actions and solutions to the problems of the autistic community, improving the learning process within the framework of educational inclusion.
