Abstract

Health care is one of the most important issues in our society today, because it is the mediation between people suffering from an illness and the health system. Nowadays it is very common to hear that medical care is becoming more and more dehumanized and violent against patients, and that this situation has dismissed the respect that has historically been shown to the health professional. It has been observed how the world's gaze is focused on education to analyze the problems in medical care, a situation that could well be explained by the training that is currently given to medical students and that results in an insensitive professional. This difficulty is being analyzed especially in underdeveloped countries, such as Latin America, where the problem is becoming more acute with each passing day. This reality is a situation that deserves special attention because it has become an important problem, and a detailed reflection was made on the most relevant aspects in the process of medical training, the university factors that affect it, and that promote the current training of health professionals, aiming to visualize a possible origin of this problem and discern possible alternatives to overcome it.
