Abstract

The objective of the research is to analyze the economic behavior in the hotel sector of the municipality of Girardot-Cundinamarca during the period 2018-2019, an exploratory and descriptive research is carried out with a sample of 39 hotels. For the present study, works, degree theses and opinions of different authors were taken as a reference, in order to contribute to the solution of the problem, a survey implemented to hotels for data collection is designed. The results are favorable, because although the hotel sector has been directly affected by the construction of new condominiums, by the high competition in the sector and the lack of promotion by digital platforms, the hotel sector is still considered one of the most strong of the municipal economy, it is recommended to innovate in order to raise its level of activity and prestige.
