Keywords: Research skills, Artificial intelligence, University teachers.Abstract
The objective of the work presented was to identify the research competencies benefited by the tools based on Artificial Intelligence in university teachers. It was developed in a qualitative, descriptive level, the data collection was obtained from the semi-structured interview with teachers who have conducted research process in higher education and documentary review. The search for information was carried out in databases of specialized journals, organizing the information systematically and updated. In the analysis of the information it is identified that the generative tools that include Artificial Intelligence suggest innovative ideas and in trend in the research processes, in addition, it decreases the time of literature review through the search of papers and the summary of these, which evidences the theoretical contribution to the variables and optimizes the time management. As a result, it is found that there are digital tools based on Artificial Intelligence that support the research processes by generating ideas, literature review from topics or variables in which it is intended to delve into the field of knowledge and promotes research capabilities. Therefore, when using Artificial Intelligence it is necessary to have research skills.
