Abstract

The article aimed to analyze the types of strategies used and the skills of managers in the competitiveness of SMEs in the construction sector in the city of Barranquilla. For this, a total of 54 companies in the aforementioned sector were considered as a study population, through a non-probabilistic sampling of convenience based on geographical location and interest in participating, applying a questionnaire with 23 items to the managers of said companies. Where the results indicate that technology strategies and technical skills prevail. In conclusion, the competitiveness of these SMEs can be strengthened if they focus on enhancing corporate strategies and human skills.
