Keywords:

The objective of this paper is to disseminate the systemic curriculum proposal for the promotion of the management of school culture towards water sustainability in the Colombian Amazon. Eleven teachers from different areas and 69 students from the middle school level of the Institución Educativa Agroecológico Amazónico (IEAA) located in El Paujil Caquetá participated in the research. Within the framework of the action research, four moments were addressed: a) identification of the teachers' conceptions regarding the teaching of water sustainability; b) determination of the students' attitudes towards the management of this water resource; c) design and implementation of the systemic curricular structure; d) evaluation of the students' attitudes after the implementation of the curricular strategy. The contribution of the research refers to the incorporation of water issues into the lesson plans of all areas of the curriculum with the intention of promoting a school culture of respect and care for water.
