General overview of research activity in teachers of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Aguachica-Cesar

The paper provides an overview of the research activity of the teachers who are assigned to the research groups of the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the Municipality of Aguachica, Cesar, Colombia. The type of research is descriptive; For the collection of information, the digital tool called Google Forms was used, a questionnaire with questions pertinent to the seedbed strategy and knowledge in scientific issues; The target population was the 127 research teachers (categorized and linked members) who work in three Educational Institutions that are offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Aguachica and the sample was 54 teachers. Those who manage the research seedbed strategy and are in charge of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 16 students. More than 50% of them have published in an indexed journal and only 11% have TOP A1 type production, almost all of them are registered in at least one academic and/or scientific network and their research tends to be quantitative, its greatest difficulty being budgetary part, the importance of the H, JCR, IJS indices for the quality of the articles should be deepened and research work with the productive sector.
