Abstract

The objective of this study is to characterize the job offer in the remote work modality in Colombia, after a period of pandemic. A query of the job offers published in one of the main Colombian online employment exchanges was carried out. Based on the above, we proceed with the capture of information by applying the remote work modality filter, which is provided by the platform that is the object of consultation. The extracted information has to do with the areas of activity where the greatest number of vacancies are registered, salary ranges, positions, the company that offers the vacancy, associated keywords, as well as the description of the positions. Applying text mining techniques, we proceeded with the analysis of the previously systematized content. The results show that, although there is a significant volume of offers published in the remote work modality, vacancies for face-to-face work are still prevalent. It was possible to show that the areas where the greatest number of vacancies are concentrated in the remote modality are, in order, human resources, corporate positions, projects (especially in information technology), systems and technology, foreign trade and teaching. There is also a significant number of vacancies to develop activities related to information technology, where specific skills are required.
