Factores asociados a la presencia de la ansiedad por las matemáticas en las clases de aritmética escolar

Resumen

Se presentan los resultados de un estudio sobre factores asociados a la presencia de ansiedad por las matemáticas en las clases de matemáticas en la educación básica primaria. El enfoque metodológico fue el de estado de arte. Se encontró que, la Ansiedad por las matemáticas es un problema educativo y clínico de naturaleza transcultural y omnipresente en el aula de clase de matemáticas, por lo que no debe confundirse con un trastorno psiquiátrico; puede afectar tanto a estudiantes como a profesores, especialmente cuando el componente afectivo se carga de emociones negativas frente al proceso de enseñanza aprendizaje de las matemáticas. En el caso de los profesores, es posible que su autoeficacia disminuya de manera considerable causando ansiedad por las matemáticas, problema que probablemente heredará a sus estudiantes, quienes experimentaran fobia por las matemáticas, que a su vez les generará reducción en el logro. Los resultados en este estudio se constituyen en un llamado a los investigadores a aportar con estudios de casos, sistemas de categorías de análisis fundamentadas en enfoques teóricos, sistemas de categorías emergentes fundamentadas en estudios situados, sistemas de metodologías de la investigación, entre otras. Estamos ante un escenario que llama a la investigación y a la cooperación interdisciplinaria de investigadores en educación y en educación matemática.
