Milestones that changed the economic history of the archipiélago

This article makes an analysis of the main changes that took place with the economic history, and the effect of these events to the islands; starting from the time of crops and agricultural exports, and passing through emphasizing the boom of coconut products, the declaration of free port, economic openness and cultural incidences, as well as population growth and changes in the environment.
