Abstract

A scientometric analysis is presented that revolves around managerial skills in the administrative management of educational institutions, with a search comprised in three parts, the first with the keywords “educational management”, “education management” and “educational institutions”. which allowed us to find a total of 868 jobs from the years 1972 to 2023; the second, with the terms “management skills”, “administrative powers”, “managerial skills” and “educational institutions” with which 698 documents were recovered; and the third with “management skills”, “administrative powers”, “managerial skills”, “educational management” and “education management”, with which only 21 results were obtained. The exploration of the information was carried out using the Scopus index databases, applying search strategies such as the use of logical operators and filters by languages and related areas of knowledge, which made it possible to find the results mentioned above. In this way, three files in csv format were downloaded, which were processed using the Bibliometrix package of the R statistical program. The results of the first part show that scientific production worldwide has shown an upward trend since the year 2000. 2019 being the most productive with 87 published works. On the other hand, the authors Alfirevic N and Relja R turned out to be the most relevant and the journal with the most contribution was International Journal of Educational Management. In the case of the second topic, the results indicate that the production of research works by year also shows an upward trend, with 2022 being the year with the most contributions with 49 published documents. The author Dagli G turned out to be the most relevant and the journal with the most contribution was Journal of Dental Education. Finally, in relation to the last search, it was evident that the topic investigated is little explored, since the production per year is very low, highlighting 2021 with 4 contributions. The authors found in the search published a maximum of one work, while the International Journal of Educational Management stood out with 2 contributions and, finally, the institution Near East University was the most outstanding with 6 published works.
