Abstract

This paper aims to estimate the relationship between GDP and exports in Colombia in 20002010. Similarly the existing positive, negative or neutral effect between GDP and inflation in Colombia during the period 2000 will be measured - 2010 and clarify what kind of relationship existed between these variables in the given period in order to give evidence on the validity of theories explaining the effects of inflation on economic growth. Analysis method using multiple linear regression is done, the judgment on the validity theories is carried out following a positivist approach - empirical test of theories. We conclude that exports have a positive effect on economic growth in Colombia and inflation have been adverse to it in the period observed.
