Abstract

The present research was develop in the Rafael Nuñez Educational Institution of the Municipality of Sincelejo, based on a qualitative approach and following a methodology of Participatory Action Research in order to generate reading habits based on strategies that enable a practical transformation by teachers. The study population consisted of 5 teachers and 116 elementary school students. Three sequential phases were met, the first called the diagnostic inquiry phase; the second, phase of planning and action and finally a phase of evaluation. As one of the most important achievements of this study is related to the reflection carried out by the TAGs that allowed the analysis and improvement of the formative process in the school, leading consequent to dynamization of the class, obtaining a reading habit more for motivation than for curricular obligation and the consensual practice of didactic strategies on the part of the researching teachers, for the construction and sustainability of the habit.
